LaToya Cantrell 18 points ahead in newly released mayoral poll

In the first publicly released poll since the Oct. 14 primary election, New Orleans City Councilwoman is 18 points ahead of her opponent, according to a report from NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.

The survey was conducted by the education advocacy group Democrats for Education Reform, and shows that Cantrell’s 9-point lead in the primary has now doubled, showing the Councilwoman at 44 percent to her opponent’s 26 percent.

The polling was conducted Oct. 24- Nov. 2 and included 1,000 voters, according to the NOLA.com article.
